The umbilical cord connects a maternal part to a fetus’s belly so that the fetus can grow in the placenta, and blood is present in the umbilical cord to take roles to absorb oxygen and nutrients from the fetus and release wastes.

Immediately after the baby delivery, cord blood is donated by inserting a needle connected with the collection bag into the umbilical cord to collect the blood. 

Cord blood donation requires very strict procedures and management. Before the donation, the mother's health condition such as the presence of various diseases, virus infection and medical history are examined in advance, furthermore, the donator’s health condition is followed for 4 months after donation.

Cord blood in the cord blood collection bag is used for human-derived materials research after passing various safety tests such as maternal health checkup and virus test. Human-derived materials must be approved for research by the Institutional Review Board.

 

The donated cord blood is immediately transferred to an approved laboratory to conduct cell isolation and characterization researches.

After isolating mononuclear cells from umbilical cord blood, TIMEBIO isolates and stabilizes TPC (TIMEBIO Progenitor Cell), a very specific progenitor cell, with TIMEBIO's unique and differentiated freezing-thawing shock with multi-stabilization technology.

TPC is a new cell that has not yet been reported in the world and is only discovered and acquired by TIMEBIO.

TIMEBIO produces conditioned media containing high concentrations of exosomes secreted by TPC cells by cultivating stabilized TPC cells for a long period of time without subculture.

 

TEXSOME is produced by isolation and purification from conditioned media. TIMEBIO's TEXSOME purification technology is the original technology that only TIMEBIO has, and is a nano vesicles originated from human umbilical cord blood and completely differentiated from the exosomes of competitors or other research institutes.

TIMEBIO purifies and sterilizes TEXSOME using a TFF system and a specific hollow fiber filter.

 

TEXSOME sterilization technology is another differentiated technology possessed by TIMEBIO, and it is reported that there is not yet a competitor that produces sterilized exosomes in large quantities.

For commercial use of TEXSOME, the particle size and concentration must be measured with a Nanoparticle Tracing Analyzer to confirm whether it is suitable for use of the raw material.

 

In order to use TEXSOME for Ato Standard production, it is necessary to pass this QC procedure in advance.

Before using TEXSOME for Ato Standard production, it must be confirmed that various growth factors and cytokine such as EGF, IL-8, and PDGFbb are not remained in purified TEXSOME.

 

TEXSOME, the main raw material of Ato Standard, is a raw material purified with high purity and does not contain any growth factors and cytokines which are abundant in cell conditioned media.
